Supporting local PA breweries

The majority of the beers at this festival are from breweries in the Poconos and the Eastern Pennsylvania region.

“We want to support the local brewers

who devote their energy and talents to making beers

that are unique to their brewery and to the Poconos,”

said Sherman Theater CEO Richard Berkowitz.

He added, “Many of these are small brewers doing innovative things with their beer.  By inviting them here, we are introducing their beers to hundreds of people in one day.”

RAEL: A Peter Gabriel Experience performs their ‘Music Box’ at Sherman Theater on March 24

The band RAEL will share their “Musical Box” of songs at the Sherman Theater at 524 Main Street, Stroudsburg, on March 24, playing the music of Peter Gabriel and early era Genesis.
RAEL is a New York and Northern New Jersey-based tribute band that captures the energy and originality of the 1970s live stage performances of Peter Gabriel and Genesis.

RAEL pays homage to the most groundbreaking and influential band in the progressive rock genre by incorporating the musical excellence, lyrical storytelling, and theatricality that brought Genesis to a position of prominence in the rock world.

RAEL brings older listeners back to the day, while introducing progressive rock newcomers to the sights and sounds right along with other legendary bands such as Pink Floyd, Moody Blues, Yes, Rush and King Crimson.

RAEL is focused on faithfully reproducing full album versions from the Peter Gabriel days of Genesis. Performances include tracks from Nursery Cryme, Foxtrot, Selling England by the Pound, The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway and A Trick of the Tail along with solo Peter Gabriel hits.

The members of RAEL are Lloyd Gold providing lead vocals and flute, Mike Blemonte on bass, Paul Sheehan on drums, Michael Labuono on keyboards, and Sal Locascio on guitar.

Philadelphia jam band Disco Biscuits Tours Stroudsburg November 13

Philadelphia jam band The Disco Biscuits will take the stage at the Sherman Theater in Stroudsburg on Sunday, November 13 at 8:00 PM.

The Disco Biscuits are an entirely different band today than they were when they first broke out of Philadelphia in the mid-90s. That’s not to say that they’ve abandoned their foundation, switched gears or set sail for distant shores.
The Disco Biscuits are still very much the pioneers of “trancefusion,” bridging the gap between electronic music and jam bands. They still remain rock pioneers whose soul belongs as much to marathon dance parties as it does to live improvisational journeys. They still employ emerging technologies to help them create music that is 100 percent human although, perhaps, not entirely of this earth.
Tickets available online through shermantheater.com or at the Sherman Theater Box Office (570) 420-2808.
