Thanksgiving in Lehigh Valley: the perfect stuffing bread DOES exist – and it’s… [recipe inside]
This Thanksgiving in the Lehigh Valley, the perfect stuffing bread DOES exist – and it’s brioche. As in St Pierre Brioche Thanksgiving Stuffing
No Thanksgiving spread is complete without a hearty stuffing. While add-ins are a matter of preference, choosing the right bread is crucial. One underrated choice is eggy, rich brioche – and with St Pierre Bakery, you don’t need to go to France to get it.
Thanks to its butter and egg content, St Pierre’s Brioche Loaf provides the perfect balance of crisp toastiness while remaining soft and creamy inside, while its lightly sweet flavor adds a decadent quality that can still lean savory. Attached below is an approachable recipe for stuffing allowing for all the craveable crunch for the whole family with minimal effort required.
St Pierre Brioche Thanksgiving Stuffing
By @BrandiMilloy
Ingredients
1 loaf St. Pierre Brioche Bread
1/2 cup unsalted butter
1 medium onion, diced
3/4 cup celery, diced
3/4 cup carrots, diced
1 cup mushrooms, diced
2 large eggs
1 tbsp. fresh rosemary, chopped
3 sprigs fresh thyme, just the leaves
1 tbsp. fresh sage, chopped
1 small apple (granny smith works well), peeled and diced
Salt and pepper
Directions
-
Preheat oven to 350 F. Cut brioche bread into 1” cubes and bake for about 10-15 minutes until toasted.
-
Meanwhile, into a pot over medium high heat add butter until melted. Add onion, celery and carrots and cook until everything starts to soften, about 7 minutes. Add mushrooms and cook for 2 minutes longer. Remove from heat and set aside.
-
Into a bowl whisk together the eggs, herbs, apples, mushrooms, and salt and pepper. Add your cooked vegetables and mix to combine.
-
Pour mixture on top of toasted bread and stir to combine. Bake stuffing for about 45 minutes. If your stuffing starts to get too brown, cover until finished baking. Enjoy!
As America’s favorite brioche brand, St Pierre’s products are widely available via grocery stores nationwide as well as Walmart.

Lucky Moon Zooz Brings Brass Dance Party to Sherman Theater June 9 in the Poconos
Lucky Moon Zooz Brings Brass Dance Party to Sherman Theater in the PoconosThe Sherman Theater in Stroudsburg has announced that three bands, known collectively as Lucky Moon Zooz, will bring their brass dance party to the Poconos on Friday, June 9.Lucky Moon Zooz is the horn powered super band comprised of Too Many Zooz, Moon Hooch, and Lucky Chops. A project years in the making, the LMZ live show will feature each band performing in their usual configurations as well as a host of new combinations of the various bands’ personnel, culminating in all three bands performing together in their entirety.Though the band turned heads in the music industry as relative unknowns with a charismatic, unconventional sound, they were already a familiar and beloved sight to strangers in New York, who would react with such joy and fervor to their impromptu subway platform sets that the NYPD had to ban them from locations that couldn’t handle the crowds.NY Mag once referred to their sound as “Jay Gatsby on ecstasy,” while the NY Post fell for their “catchy melodic hooks and funky rhythms,” saying they had “the power to make you secretly wish that the short subway wait becomes an indefinite delay.”Drawing from their shared roots busking in the NYC subway to their years touring the world, this is the brass fueled dance party of the millennium! Too Many Zooz are a busking phenomenon born in the subways of New York City. Their unique sound smashes together jazz, Afro-Cuban rhythms, funk, EDM structures and house music. Their amazing Youtube clips have millions of views and they performed live with Beyonce and The Dixie Chicks at the CMA Awards.Show: Lucky Moon ZoozDate: Friday, June 9Time: Doors – 7:00; Show – 8:00For more information, call 570-420-2808 or visit shermantheater.com.The Sherman Theater is Monroe County’s only nationally ranked, non-profit theaterand performing arts center.

Switchfoot ‘This Is Our Christmas’ Tour at Penn’s Peak Sunday, Dec 4
Penn’s Peak announces Switchfoot ‘This Is Our Christmas Tour’ performs Sunday, Dec 4
Grammy Award winning rock band Switchfoot announces their new LP, this is our Christmas album, out November 4th.
Marking the band’s first-ever holiday record, this is our Christmas album finds Switchfoot infusing their signature West Coast sound to a number of holiday classics and five, new original Christmas songs.
Cheery, nostalgic and brimming with sunshine,
the 11 track collection was inspired by everyone from the Beach Boys to Black Flag
and promises to be the perfect soundtrack for the holiday season with a new California twist.
“Christmas is an emotional treasure chest for a songwriter to pull from,” lead Singer Jon Foreman says.
“It’s a season stretched tight with contradictions: celebrating the free gifts of love and grace with an outburst of materialist capitalist consumption. An emotional roller coaster of family and friends, hopes and scars- bringing out the worst and the best in all of us.” A project that’s been years in the making, this is our Christmas album, wraps its arms wide around these contradictions.
Alongside the album announcement, Switchfoot announces their North American “this is our Christmas tour” which sees the band visiting Napa, Detroit, Monterey, Anaheim and more.
Switchfoot’s live show is a force to be reckoned with, and the band’s first Christmas tour is no exception. Since the band’s creation they’ve performed to sold out audiences in over 40 countries and have racked up over five million tickets sold. These shows are going to be special as the group, that’s been described as “definition of cool” by Vulture, will perform one Christmas themed set, and another set filled with the band’s classic hits like “Dare You To Move,” “Meant to Live” and more.
“It’s truly incredible the way music connects us all: making even strangers feel like family,” Jon Foreman says. “To celebrate this season, singing these songs together in the same room is a gift that we can’t wait to unwrap. We’re so excited to head out on our first Christmas tour ever!”
Artist pre-sale begins today, September 7th at 12pm local time, local tour pre-sales start
Thursday, September 8th at 10am local time, and general tour on-sale begins Friday,
September 9th at 12pm local time. See below for full routing. Purchase tickets here:

this is our Christmas album is a follow up to 2021’s interobang, which saw the band opt for raw 60’s era pop-infused feel and straying away from their typical rock sound. Penned through the pandemic, interrobang celebrates the journey when the destination is unsure. It illustrates the contrast between joy and pain, faith and doubt, and marks a bold new creative peak for the multi-platinum rockers.

Southern Rock 38 Special plays Penn’s Peak Friday November 3, 2023
Penn’s Peak is proud to announce 38 Special, Friday, November 3, 2023 at 8pm.
After more than four decades, 38 SPECIAL continues to bring their signature blast of Southern Rock to over 100 cities a year. At each and every show, thousands of audience members are amazed by the explosive power of the band’s performance.
Their many Gold and Platinum album awards stand in testament to the endurance of a legendary powerhouse.
With sales in excess of 20 million, most associate the band with their arena-rock pop smashes, “Hold On Loosely,” “Rockin’ Into the Night,” “Caught Up in You,” “Fantasy Girl,” “If I’d Been the One,” “Back Where You Belong,” “Chain Lightnin’,” “Second Chance,” and more – Timeless hits that remain a staple at radio, immediately recognizable from the first opening chord, and paving the way to their present-day touring regimen.
Guitarist/vocalist DON BARNES says it’s all about maintaining that intensity in their live shows.
“We never wanted to be one of those bands that had maybe gotten a little soft or complacent over the years.
We’re a team, and it’s always been kind of an unspoken rule that we don’t slack up, we stack up. We go out there every night to win.”
Completing the team is bassist BARRY DUNAWAY, drummer GARY MOFFATT and keyboardist/vocalist BOBBY CAPPS. The most recent addition to the band is legendary virtuoso guitarist and vocalist JERRY RIGGS.
For 38 Special onstage, it is a celebration of camaraderie and brotherhood, a precision unit bringing the dedication and honesty to a long history of classic songs, as well as surprisingly fresh new material.
Since 1976, the band has released more than 15 albums. And from the start, they’ve toured relentlessly, bringing their signature brand of ‘muscle and melody’ to fans worldwide.
It is that steely determination that lives on in the hearts of these ‘Wild-Eyed Southern Boys.’
Barnes adds, “This music keeps our wheels on the road. We’re a band that’s tried to stay honest with what has driven us over the years. We started out with nothing but bold determination to make our own history and to endure. Looking back now, it has been our greatest pride to have persevered and attained that level of success and longevity. For us, it’s the ultimate validation.”
“The magic’s still there,”
adds Barnes.
“It’s an emotional high for us to keep ‘bringing it’ after all these years. When those lights go down and we all walk up those steps to the stage and hear that crowd roar, it’s a real rush to the head. It feels like we’re getting ready to strap ourselves in and it just takes off from there.”
