A smashing success on the West Coast and named “Best Event” by Hot Bikemagazine, LOST HIGHWAY™ Motorcycle Show & Concert was founded in 2015 by bike & music enthusiast John M. Oakes (CEO-From The Roots–the venue management/real estate company that owns and operates POCONOS PARK.

“We are thrilled for the LOST HIGHWAY™ Motorcycle Show & Concert to launch on the East Coast! We will be showcasing the finest bikes and some of the best riding the East Coast has to offer,” states Oakes, “…with great music all weekend long!” he adds. “However, the window is closing to take advantage of early pricing discounts, enter the LOST HIGHWAY sweepstakes, and enter our Battle of the Bands competition to be part of the musical lineup that includes Lynyrd Skynyrd.” He suggests, “so, maybe put that tax refund to good use and let the good times roll in the Poconos!”

LOST HIGHWAY™ Motorcycle Show & Concert’s Sweepstakes tickets are still available through Sunday evening. Fans can win a VIP trip for two to see Lynyrd Skynyrd at LOST HIGHWAY™ Motorcycle Show & Concert (including flights, hotel, a backstage tour, and more), PLUS a 2023 Harley-Davidson Road Glide Special from Poconos Mountain Harley-Davidson customized by Steve Edgar from Speed Kings Cycle Supply (or $20,000 in cash–your choice)! Lucky Moon Zooz is the horn powered super band comprised of Too Many Zooz, Moon Hooch, and Lucky Chops. A project years in the making, the LMZ live show will feature each band performing in their usual configurations as well as a host of new combinations of the various bands’ personnel, culminating in all three bands performing together in their entirety.

Though the band turned heads in the music industry as relative unknowns with a charismatic, unconventional sound, they were already a familiar and beloved sight to strangers in New York, who would react with such joy and fervor to their impromptu subway platform sets that the NYPD had to ban them from locations that couldn’t handle the crowds.
NY Mag once referred to their sound as “Jay Gatsby on ecstasy,” while the NY Post fell for their “catchy melodic hooks and funky rhythms,” saying they had “the power to make you secretly wish that the short subway wait becomes an indefinite delay.”

Drawing from their shared roots busking in the NYC subway to their years touring the world, this is the brass fueled dance party of the millennium! Too Many Zooz are a busking phenomenon born in the subways of New York City. Their unique sound smashes together jazz, Afro-Cuban rhythms, funk, EDM structures and house music. Their amazing Youtube clips have millions of views and they performed live with Beyonce and The Dixie Chicks at the CMA Awards.

More from Paul DeLuca features on Underground Mi at Scranton Cultural Center

Here’s how Paul described his songwriting:
“People like to put people in boxes. Some of us refuse to stay in the confines of another person’s novel reality. That’s how I sum up my songwriting
… I wrote my first song when I was in fifth grade …
It was a pretty good Halloween tune.
Since then, I have continued to write songs. As I find my life compressed and time limited, I am sending my songs out into the world.
Last Summer I was lucky enough to have spent some time in Nashville and met some legends. I’m not saying I’m a bigger flea because I hung around bigger dogs. But, when you are sitting next to Rodney Crowell and he puts his hand on his heart and says, ‘man that song really touched my heart, good job young man,’ that’s about as high a compliment as a songwriter can get.”

“Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs” staged by the State Ballet Theater of Ukraine Comes to Easton’s State Theater

There are fairy tales that inspire creators to create performances in different genres and directions. One of these was the favorite fairy tale of the Brothers Grimm, “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.” This time, the fairy tale will come to life in dance and be staged by the State Ballet Theater of Ukraine. Our ballet is a story about love, friendship, witchcraft, about the eternal struggle between good and evil.

The ballet “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs” is an excellent opportunity to spend time with the whole family. And also to introduce the child to the art of classical ballet. A unique production, an excellent plot (bright acting images, virtuoso solo parts, comical dwarfs, funny little animals), famous characters, and dynamic music will give both adults and children a festive mood.

“Battle for the Masterpieces”

A “battle for the masterpieces” will also be at play, accompanied by a pigskin scramble on social media as two major art museums

Philadelphia Eagles

Sasha Suda, the George D. Widener Director and CEO of the Philadelphia Museum of Art, has wagered a master painting on the Birds’ success.

Kansas City Chiefs

Julián Zugazagoitia, Menefee D. and Mary Louise Blackwell CEO & Director of The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, has eagerly taken up the challenge on behalf of the Kansas City Chiefs.

In the bet, the winning city’s museum will receive the other’s painting on loan.

A Chiefs victory would bring a future delegation from the Philadelphia Museum of Art to the Nelson-Atkins, with a Philadelphia master work in hand.

An Eagles triumph would bring a future delegation from the Nelson-Atkins along with a master work to Philadelphia.

Sasha Suda stated:

“When the Eagles soar to victory…

“…we will warmly greet our friends from the Nelson-Atkins and treat them to unforgettable cheesesteaks here in Philadelphia. They have such a remarkable collection, and we will be thrilled to share a piece of it with our visitors, in a very special Point After Touchdown (PAT). We’ll make it feel right at home in our galleries and display it with Philly pride.”

Julián Zugazagoitia said:

“We expect to offer our Philadelphia friends something they’ll long remember after the…

Chiefs make short work of the Eagles.

Philadelphia’s museum has so many amazing works, and they will see how wonderful the PMA loan will appear in our beautiful galleries. We won’t let them leave, of course, before they can taste the best of our Kansas City barbeque.”

#MuseumBowl23 is on. Let the games begin.

Created in 1968 by Danny Hutton, THREE DOG NIGHT maintains an aggressive, year round touring schedule of over 90 dates a year, performing their hit filled concerts for multi-generational audiences.

The band’s now-famous name refers to native Australian hunters in the outback who huddled with their dogs for warmth on cold nights; the coldest being a “three dog night”.

The band recorded songs of the best and largely undiscovered new songwriters of its time including Harry Nilsson, Randy Newman, Elton John, Laura Nyro, Paul Williams and Hoyt Axton among many others.

Legendary 70s Band Three Dog Night at Penn's Peak Friday, June 23, 2023.

The group’s eclectic taste, combined with its ability to recognize and record hits in a unique, distinctive, and appealing style, resulted in THREE DOG NIGHT dominating the charts for years. The band’s music transcends time, bringing together both new and longtime audiences alike.

THREE DOG NIGHT demonstrates its eclectic song choices once again with the new material being recorded for an upcoming album release. One of the new tracks, “Prayer of the Children” was discovered by Hutton who created an a cappella arrangement, so that for the first time in the history of THREE DOG NIGHT, the vocals of all six members of the band are featured. The song is currently part of their live concert set and quickly becoming an audience favorite

Marking over 50 years on the road, THREE DOG NIGHT continues to grow its fan base by keeping up a full schedule of concerts at theatres, performing arts centers, fairs, festivals, corporate events, and casinos. Since 1986, the band has performed nearly 3,000 shows including two Super Bowls.
