Thanksgiving in Lehigh Valley: the perfect stuffing bread DOES exist – and it’s… [recipe inside]
This Thanksgiving in the Lehigh Valley, the perfect stuffing bread DOES exist – and it’s brioche. As in St Pierre Brioche Thanksgiving Stuffing
No Thanksgiving spread is complete without a hearty stuffing. While add-ins are a matter of preference, choosing the right bread is crucial. One underrated choice is eggy, rich brioche – and with St Pierre Bakery, you don’t need to go to France to get it.
Thanks to its butter and egg content, St Pierre’s Brioche Loaf provides the perfect balance of crisp toastiness while remaining soft and creamy inside, while its lightly sweet flavor adds a decadent quality that can still lean savory. Attached below is an approachable recipe for stuffing allowing for all the craveable crunch for the whole family with minimal effort required.
St Pierre Brioche Thanksgiving Stuffing
By @BrandiMilloy
Ingredients
1 loaf St. Pierre Brioche Bread
1/2 cup unsalted butter
1 medium onion, diced
3/4 cup celery, diced
3/4 cup carrots, diced
1 cup mushrooms, diced
2 large eggs
1 tbsp. fresh rosemary, chopped
3 sprigs fresh thyme, just the leaves
1 tbsp. fresh sage, chopped
1 small apple (granny smith works well), peeled and diced
Salt and pepper
Directions
-
Preheat oven to 350 F. Cut brioche bread into 1” cubes and bake for about 10-15 minutes until toasted.
-
Meanwhile, into a pot over medium high heat add butter until melted. Add onion, celery and carrots and cook until everything starts to soften, about 7 minutes. Add mushrooms and cook for 2 minutes longer. Remove from heat and set aside.
-
Into a bowl whisk together the eggs, herbs, apples, mushrooms, and salt and pepper. Add your cooked vegetables and mix to combine.
-
Pour mixture on top of toasted bread and stir to combine. Bake stuffing for about 45 minutes. If your stuffing starts to get too brown, cover until finished baking. Enjoy!
As America’s favorite brioche brand, St Pierre’s products are widely available via grocery stores nationwide as well as Walmart.

Renegade Amish Musicians Head to The Sherman Theater May 19
Renegade Amish Musicians Head to The Sherman Theater
Those curious about the Amish Outlaws have their chance to check them out at the Sherman Theater in Stroudsburg on Friday, May 19, 2023.
At first glance, with their straw hats and suspenders, you might think they play bluegrass or country music. But the Amish Outlaws perform music ranging from U2 to Prince to Johnny Cash to Queen. The band’s show can be summed up as eclectic and fun.
It is a little-known fact that most Amish practice a tradition similar to the Christian “Confirmation” and Jewish “Bar Mitzvah” called “Rumspringa” (literal translation: “running around”) in which Amish children at the age of 16 have an opportunity to live free of the strict Amish code of conduct before deciding if they want to come back and be baptized into the Amish church.
Surprisingly, virtually all of the youths return.
But sometimes they don’t.
Four out of the original six members of The Amish Outlaws were born and raised in Lancaster, PA and had a strict Amish upbringing. No electricity from land lines, no alcohol, no musical instruments, but their spirits were too wild for the Amish lifestyle.
Once they trampled in the Devil’s Playground, there was no turning back. In the years since Rumspringa, the members of the Amish Outlaws have become very well acclimated to the pleasures and vices of the modern world… music, most of all.
Thus, with a bold lust for life and a fire for music and performance that can only come from 16 years of repression, The Amish Outlaws were unleashed upon the world.
Show: The Amish Outlaws

Comedy Star John Mulaney: From Scratch at Wind Creek on July 30
Comedy Star John Mulaney: From Scratch at Wind Creek on July 30
Fans of the comedian are familiar with Mulaney’s past issues with drugs and alcohol. In 2014, Mulaney revealed he had been sober since September 2005.
Many of his past comedy specials have centered around the contradiction between Mulaney’s clean-cut professional appearance and his turbulent relationship with narcotics.
In 2020, Mulaney relapsed, developing an unhealthy relationship with substances including xanax, percocet, klonopin and cocaine, among other drugs, he said during the show. As a result of his addiction, his friends staged an intervention with him in December of 2020.
Mulaney was two hours late to the intervention, which he was told would be dinner at a friend’s house, because he had stopped at his drug dealer’s apartment after getting a haircut at Saturday Night Live. In a hilarious retelling of the story, Mulaney recounted how he walked into the “Emmy-Award winning” hair department high on cocaine, demanding a haircut despite not being the host of the show for the week.
The intervention, which was attended by 12 of Mulaney’s comedian friends, was a star-studded affair, including the likes of Seth Meyers, Bill Hader, Natasha Lyonne, Fred Armisen and Nick Kroll.
